2022 Mini-Collection

First Presented

September 2022

Location

Tampa, FL

This collection was a part of Fashion Design & Academy's annual student showcase. It was my first collection with the school and consisted of 3 designs with two dresses having alternate colorways. The requirements for the assignment were at least 3 pieces and a custom print.
The inspiration behind this collection was Neo-Andean architecture created by Freddy Mamani Silvestre. His stunning Cholets in El Alto, Bolivia inspired the geometric prints on each dress. The silhouettes are inspired by Space Age Mod fashion from the 1960s.
The patterns for the dresses were drafted by hand on paper. They were then digitally drawn to create the geometric prints and printed using sublimation on polyester satin. As for the construction of each dress, it includes a polyester lining and is finished with invisible YKK zippers, metal zippers, and snaps as closures.
